Ergo - Grip
The Airith Dev Ergo grip is a “pistol” Grip designed with the intent to give an athlete the most comfortable and supportive experience possible. With the primary audience being competitive ISSF, Olympic, Bi-Athlon, highpower and prescision shooters, giving them a more affordable/accessible grip compared to hand fitted or custom grips. This will fit any rifle which uses a standard A2 (AR15) grip lug. It also features pockets for tungsten weights, to help adjust the balance of the althete’s rifle.
The design of the Ergo - Grip first started from a 3D scan of several volunteer’s hands in a completely relaxed (claw/soda can/joystick) grip. These 3d scans were then rendered, and blended together to create a swept and multi-dimensional mesh surface to give the most support possible to the user’s palm, thumb and fingers, while also not requiring them to over-exert their grip strength, throwing off accuracy in the process. The grip has a universalt fit, and can easily be scaled up and down to accomodate different sized hands.
In this current designed model, this grip is inteded to be manufactured via 3 or 4 axis CNC mill, primarily comprised of either walnut, maple, laminated maple, laminated birch, or can be injection molded wil a 4-5 piece die. All prototypes were Fdm printed.
